Privacy Policy

Flometrix (“Flometrix”, “we”, “us”) runs flometrix.io, a performance and journaling tool for funded and prop firm traders. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

Account details. Your name, email address and country when you sign up, and your password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.

Trading data you enter. Your prop accounts and their rules, trades, profit and loss, risk, notes, confluences and any screenshots you upload.

Preferences. Settings such as your favourite instruments.

Bug reports. If you report a bug, we receive what you write, the page you were on and your account email.

Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the service running and secure.

Cookies. See Cookies and similar technologies below.

We do not collect your broker logins, trading account passwords or payment card details.

• To provide Flometrix: creating your account, signing you in, storing and showing your trades, accounts and statistics, and sending account emails such as confirmations and password resets. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
• To support you and fix problems: responding to messages and bug reports. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a reliable service.
• To keep Flometrix secure: preventing abuse and investigating issues. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
• To measure our advertising: understanding which ads bring people to Flometrix, using the Meta Pixel. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We never sell your personal data, and we never share your trading data with advertisers.

We use trusted providers to run Flometrix. They process data only on our instructions:

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage (your account, trading data and screenshots).
• Vercel: hosting the website and app.
• Resend: sending account emails.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Discord: bug reports are posted to our private team channel so we can act on them quickly.
• Meta: only if you accept marketing cookies, and only on our public pages (home, sign up, sign in, password reset, Get the App and this page). The Meta Pixel never runs inside the app, so Meta never sees your trades or accounts.

The economic calendar and exchange rates in Flometrix come from public data feeds. We fetch them from our servers, and no personal data is sent to those providers.

We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Flometrix or others.

Some of our providers store or process data outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Essential. Sign-in cookies keep you logged in. Flometrix cannot work without them, so they don’t need your consent.

Preferences. We save a few choices in your browser’s local storage, such as privacy mode, your journal layout, whether you’ve seen our update notes and your cookie choice. These stay on your device.

Marketing (optional). With your permission, the Meta Pixel sets cookies on our public pages so we can measure our ads. It only loads if you tap Accept on our cookie banner. If you decline, it never loads.

You can change your choice at any time:

Screenshots you upload are stored with a long, random link that can’t be guessed. Anyone who has the exact link can open the image, so only share screenshot links with people you trust. If you ask us to delete your account, your screenshots are deleted with it.

We keep your account and trading data for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days. Copies in backups are removed on their normal cycle shortly after.

Bug reports are kept for up to 24 months. Hosting logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you
• have inaccurate data corrected
• have your data deleted, including closing your account
• restrict or object to how we use your data
• receive your data in a portable format
• withdraw consent at any time, for example to marketing cookies

To use any of these rights, email support@flometrix.io from the address on your account. We’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Your data is sent over encrypted connections, and each user can only access their own records. Passwords are never stored in plain text. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Flometrix is for adults. It isn’t intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy as Flometrix grows. We’ll change the date at the top when we do, and tell you by email or in the app about any significant changes.
